Manchester United’s transfer business has been quietly bubbling under the surface, with several key decisions shaping what’s expected to be a pivotal summer at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim has made it clear he wants to reshape his attack, with several names already floated as potential additions.
While high-profile links to strikers like Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres continue to dominate headlines, United are aware that those deals could prove difficult due to cost and competition.

That reality has forced the club’s recruitment team, led by Christopher Vivell and Jason Wilcox, to start drawing up a list of credible alternatives that could offer value and potential without the heavy price tags.
One such player has emerged from the Belgian Pro League – a towering Nigerian forward by the name of Tolu Arokodare.
The 24-year-old finished the 2024/25 season as the division’s top scorer, netting 17 goals in 30 league games for Racing Genk, and 23 goals across all competitions, adding seven assists along the way.
He joined Genk from Amiens in January 2023 for just £3.5 million and has been on an upward trajectory ever since.
His physical presence, finishing ability, and strong link-up play have drawn admiration from scouts across Europe.

Tolu Arokodare wears the number 99 shirt and was recently rewarded with a senior Nigeria call-up, scoring once in his first four caps.
Manchester United scouts have been tracking the striker and have flagged him as a player of interest, as per Graeme Bailey via United in Focus.
Amorim is believed to be open to the idea of recruiting a ‘target man’, and Arokodare fits the profile.
Transfer insider Graeme Bailey revealed: “Ruben Amorim knows what he wants, he wants that target man – we know the club are moving on from Rasmus Hojlund.
“Victor Osimhen and Victor Gyokeres, these are targets for a reason… So could Arokodare emerge as a target? It’s not impossible – he is a huge talent, in every way.”
Benfica are also interested in the Nigerian forward, but Manchester United could swoop early, with the player believed to be available for as little as £20 million.
Arokodare’s relatively low wages and high ceiling make him an appealing fallback option for a club in need of firepower without risking another financial headache.
