Thomas Partey is set to leave Arsenal at the end of June after contract renewal talks stalled, according to a report by ESPN.
The 32-year-old midfielder, who joined the club from Atlético Madrid in 2020 after Arsenal triggered his £45 million release clause, is not expected to sign a new deal.
With his current contract expiring this summer, ESPN reports that discussions over an extension have reached a “complete standstill” and that “Partey will leave the club on June 30.”
This news came shortly after Fabrizio Romano also reported, “Negotiations between Arsenal and Thomas Partey over new deal are not advancing. No agreement so far and now concrete chances to part ways in the upcoming days.”
Arsenal have already agreed a £55m deal to bring Martin Zubimendi to the club.
He will arrive in July, with Real Sociedad asking that the announcement be delayed to be included in their next accounting period. The deal is, by all reliable accounts, signed and sealed.
