Ruben Amorim faces big challenge in finding vital solution for Man Utd star at Old Trafford after another transfer blow– opinion

Jadon Sancho’s potential exit route from Ruben Amorim’s squad could end if Napoli complete their move for a Manchester United target in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old former England international spent the 2024-25 Premier League season out on loan at Chelsea after he left Old Trafford in 2024.

Chelsea signed Jadon Sancho from Manchester United on loan, but with a view to making the move permanent this summer for a fee between £20m to £25m.

However, it emerged that the Blues had walked back on the decision to sign the United winger after Chelsea agreed to pay a £5m penalty fee instead.

Chelsea had held talks with Sancho’s representatives and the transfer collapsed over the need for the former Three Lions international to take a pay cut for the move.

Sancho’s long-term future at Old Trafford remains in doubt amid his Chelsea situation, but the United player is linked with a move away this summer.

Fabrizio Romano reveals Napoli’s pursuit of Dan Ndoye amid transfer interest in Man Utd and Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho’s current deal with Chelsea will expire on 30th June and the Blues player will return to Manchester United after his permanent move collapsed.

United are believed to be keen on offloading Sancho, recouping a transfer fee for the player and freeing up his hefty wages from the Premier League club.

Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, reports that Napoli have stepped up their pursuit of Dan Ndoye in the summer window.

🚨🔵 Napoli are progressing in talks to sign Dan Ndoye with personal terms now almost agreed.

He reported on Wednesday that personal terms are “now almost agreed” and Napoli are in talks with Bologna over signing the 24-year-old forward.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli manager Antonio Conte is keen to bring Dan Ndoye to the Serie A champions ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Romano added that Sancho “remains” on Napoli’s transfer “list,” but the former Three Lions international’s salary and fee conditions are hindering a move.

Dan Ndoye’s transfer to Napoli could be a major blow in Man Utd selling Jadon Sancho to the Serie A club

Fabrizio Romano has said that the transfer interest from Napoli is still there for Sancho, but Dan Ndoye’s move to the Italian club could cause problems for United.

Napoli could end their interest in Sancho once they sign Ndoye from Bologna and the United winger’s mammoth wages are not helping the situation with attracting suitors.

Sancho’s current contract with United expires in 2026 and it remains unclear if the former England star could establish himself at the Red Devils under Ruben Amorim.

But the ex-Borussia Dortmund ace’s fractured relationship with former United boss Erik ten Hag doesn’t paint the best picture for a second chance at Old Trafford.

Borussia Dortmund have been linked with signing Sancho again, but Ruben Amorim now faces a big challenge in offloading the United loanee this summer.

Sancho has burned bridges with United fans and the Red Devils must do everything in their power to find a solution over the player’s future once and for all.
