A key member of West Ham United's Academy team has left the club in order to take up a role with the England youth set-up.
Kalam Mooniaruck, who was appointed as West Ham's Head of Coaching & Player Development a year ago this month - having previously been employed as Head of Academy Coach Development - leaves east London after nearly seven years with the club.
The 41-year-old - who spent his playing career with Manchester United and Norwich City's youth teams plus a string of non-league clubs including Braintree Town - previously worked for the FA between 2009 and 2018 prior to joining West Ham.
However he has been tempted to return to his former role less than a year after accepting his new position at West Ham.
Mooniaruck began his football journey in the North West with Man Utd but failed to make the grade at Old Trafford and moved on when he was just 19. He also represented England's youth teams at Under 17 and Under 19 level.
Described as "an inspirational, approachable individual and a considerate leader", Mooniaruck was responsible for incorporating a revamped "recruitment strategy" at West Ham's Academy.
KUMB wish Kalam - who will be working for England with the 15 to 17-year-old age group - the very best in his new role.
