Brett Maxie, Tracey Porter provide defensive presence for Saints Hall of Fame induction class of '25
The NFL Draft lasted 12 rounds from 1977-92, and was trimmed to seven rounds in 1994.The expanded choices didn't factor in for Texas Southern safety Brett Maxie in 1985; he still went undrafted. But he signed with the New Orleans Saints as a rookie free agent looking to make his mark and Wednesday, he received the best sign that he had when it was announced that he was a 2025 inductee into the Saints Hall of Fame. Tracy Porter, Brett Maxie, Ed Daniels and Steve Gleason set to be honored by Saints Hall of Fame
The media selection committee of the Saints Hall of Fame has selected cornerback Tracy Porter and safety Brett Maxie for induction in 2025. In addition, two awards will be given out by the media selection committee. The first is the Joe Gemelli "Fleur de Lis" Award, which will be presented posthumously to former WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels. The second is the Saints Hall of Fame Courage Award, which will honor Steve Gleason, whose unwavering strength continues to inspire the entire New Orleans community. SEE MORE >>
2025 New Orleans Saints opponent profile: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The New Orleans Saints host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Caesars Superdome in Week 8 at 3:05 p.m. on Oct. 26 with the broadcast on FOX. It will be the Saints' first NFC South contest of the 2025 season. New Orleans faces Tampa Bay on the road to close out the season series in Raymond James Stadium in Week 14 at noon on Dec. 7 at 12 p.m. with the broadcast on CBS.
