Chelsea are keen to improve their attacking unit even further. They are now plotting summer move for one Premier League attacker. The player has £85 million release clause in his current contract.
Chelsea have started the summer window on a strong note. They have signed Liam Delap as new striker. But, he costed them only £30 million due to which they are eyeing another striker. On the other hand, they want a new winger and a wide forward too this summer.
As of now, both Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix are set to leave. On the other hand, Sancho has left whereas Mudryk is already missing. Hence, a wide attacker becomes a top priority for the club. The Blues are now linked with one Premier League attacker who fits perfectly in this criteria.
Chelsea linked with West Ham attacker
The star in question here is Mohammed Kudus. He joined West Ham United in summer 2023 and had a very good first season. His form dipped in recent season but is still regarded as a top attacker due to his age. He is only 24 and can play as all left winger, right winger, attacking midfielder and striker.
According to The Guardian, Chelsea are still interested to sign Kudus. They were showing interest in him earlier too. The player has £85 million release clause due to which it has became hard for top clubs to reach him. In addition, Hammes prefer a straight sale.
Chelsea do have many other players on their radar. Firstly, they have Jamie Gittens but he does not have same profile as Nkunku or Felix. However, he is still their top target for this summer. The Blues will prioritise signing Gittens over Kudus for now.
Lastly, they are also linked with Joao Pedro of Brighton. He has same profile as Nkunku and can cost less that Kudus too. It will be interesting to see which players will Chelsea sign this summer. Enzo Maresca will surely play a big role in the pursuit.
