Leeds United seem to be focusing on markets outside England when it comes to their recent business. But that could all still change later this summer.
Lukas Nmecha was signed from Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. The German forward will join on a free transfer later this summer. Udinese’s Jaka Bijol could also follow, the defender has been one of the most underrated players in Serie A in recent seasons.

The Whites have been linked with move for Premier League stars; Sam Johnstone and Callum Wilson have been on the club’s radar over the past month.
The Guardian is now reporting that Leeds hold serious interest in Liverpool star Joe Gomez. £30million is said to be the asking price for the England international. The Whites are not the only club involved, as some other Premier League clubs are also interested.
Leeds could be in the market for another defender after recent reports. Junior Firpo is set to leave Elland Road this summer, and could be followed by Max Wober. Leaving the club a bit thin when it comes to defensive options.
Leeds need to stay away from such deals
So far this summer, the club have been moving smartly when it comes to recruitment. Leeds snapped up a striker on a free transfer. Nmecha will come with experience, quality and versatility. And if reports are to be believed, moves for Jaka Bijol and Habib Diarra are set to follow.
The fees being mentioned are way less than the reported £30million Liverpool will ask for Joe Gomez. Even aside that, you can argue Gomez is not a better option that Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk or Jaka Bijol currently.
Leeds need to leave these kind of deals for clubs who are willing to spend money.
