Chelsea star wanted by former Blues manager for Serie A club

Chelsea are said to part ways with many of their current players. Amongst them are some big names who have failed to impress in recent seasons. One of such name is now wanted by former Blues manager who has been recently appointed as Serie A club’s manager.

Chelsea have started the summer window on strong note. They have signed some young players and are now eyeing some big moves. But, the club also needs to focus on selling. This will help them to open up space and raise funds. Or else the club can face a hefty penalty upon breaching PSR.

The Blues are set to part ways with multiple players. Some are not fit in Enzo Maresca’s system while some have failed to impress. The Italian boss is not shy to take bold decisions. He has told multiple players to find a new club. One of them is Ben Chilwell.

Chilwell who is now 28 years old was linked with exit last summer itself. But, the Blues were unable to find a solution for him due to injury. As a result, Chilwell had to stay at Stamford Bridge. But, he was sent on loan to Crystal Palace in January where he played 11 games.

Ben Chilwell wanted by former Chelsea manager

The manager in question here is Maurizio Sarri of Lazio. He managed Chelsea for one year and is now plotting raid on them. Alfredo Pedulla has told Caught Offside that Sarri wants a new left back and Ben Chilwell is amongst the names being considered.

Later, Pedulla added that Lazio are also considering Emerson Palmeri and Aaron Martin for left flank. Then he talked about other positions which Sarri needs filling in. Lastly, he said that unless there are any surprises, it will be a slow development as a lot needs working.
