“I Try To Make A Call, then He Changed It”: Patrick Mahomes Changing Calls Gets Honest Take…

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, is the boss of the team, as reiterated by his offensive lineman Creed Humphrey. Humphrey, who has been playing for the Chiefs since 2021, stopped by the ‘Green Light With Chris Long’ podcast and discussed Mahomes as the final call when it comes to offensive strategies with the team.

Mahomes has been leading the team ever since he joined the Chiefs back in 2017. His entry was definitely a turning point for the Chiefs, who managed to win three Super Bowls with the quarterback as signal-caller.

“Final say is always with Pat. So, you know, I can go up there and call stuff and then, he’s got [the] final say, so he’ll check protections, wherever he needs to. No, yeah, definitely! I remember my rookie years in OTAs, I try to make a call, then he changed it, and then everybody looks at me and they were like ‘Dude, just go with this call,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, no, that fine, yeah, perfect, yeah.’” Creed Humphrey spoke about Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the latest episode of the ‘Green Light With Chris Long’ podcast.

Patrick Mahomes is still considered to be a major formidable force in the NFL, even if his numbers from the previous NFL season are not that great compared to his stats from before. Many NFL analysts have highlighted that the quarterback’s career is on its way down. However, it does not seem like Mahomes is ready to stop any time soon and has vowed to be a better version of himself and his team in the upcoming season.

Patrick Mahomes Does Not Place All Rings In Same Spot

On another note, Patrick Mahomes was recently asked about where he secures his championship rings at home after the quarterback received his AFC Championship ring from the previous season. When asked about this, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed that while he places some rings inside the safe, other rings of another category go right on top of it.

Mahomes did not exactly mention whether his Super Bowl rings go in the safe or his AFC Championship rings. But, it is more likely to be the former. Mahomes has won three Super Bowl rings in his career with the Kansas City Chiefs and is definitely bound to add a few more. Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs are expected to outperform themselves from last year.
