Leeds United have put an ‘important offer’ on the table for Lecce’s Nikola Krstović in the last few hours.
That’s according to Tag 24, who provide an update on Leeds’ move for the 25-year-old striker after reports earlier today.
Those reports stated that Leeds had submitted a bid close to the Italian side’s €35m asking price for their star man.
Tag 24 follow that up and say that Leeds are one of several sides to have noticed the player’s performances this season. They’re showing ‘concrete’ interest in him, and contacts are now underway about his transfer.
The belief is that the negotiation could get going in the coming weeks after an official offer was submitted for him. That is believed to be ‘significantly close’ to what those in charge of Lecce have asked for.
Pantaleo Corvino, the club’s technical director, has always insisted that the Italian side will allow him to leave if their valuation is met.
Leeds’ offer falls into that category and is considered “very interesting” by Lecce, according to Tag’s sources close to the club. Whether it is accepted, remains to be seen, but it seems the first bid from Elland Road has turned heads and the transfer is seen as doable as a result.
