Insider Names ‘Most Aggressive’ Team In Kevin Durant Trade Talks

The hunt for Kevin Durant is heating up as the two-time champion gets closer to leaving the Phoenix Suns.

A number of teams have been fighting to make the right package to land Durant, and lately, one has been the most intense.

According to Evan Sidery, the Toronto Raptors are the “most aggressive” team in the Durant sweepstakes.

“Toronto recently proposed a three-team framework with Immanuel Quickley and No. 9 pick to the Suns, plus RJ Barrett to a facilitating team for added draft capital,” Sidery wrote.

Is there a chance that the Raptors will put together the right package to get Durant out of Phoenix?

Fans are recalling the days when Toronto was able to work their magic and get Kawhi Leonard for a single season.

They worked hard to make that deal happen, emerging as a dark horse and ultimately getting it done.

That led to a championship, so it all worked out for the Raptors.

The Suns are willing to send Durant away, but they want a really good deal in exchange for him.

Their aggressive tactics might work, especially in the days ahead as a trade gets closer.

Of course, Durant wouldn’t solve all of Toronto’s problems.

They have been lacking in multiple ways over the last few years, finishing 2024-25 as the 11th seed in the Eastern Confernece with a 30-52 record.

Durant would help, but how much?

The Suns will likely make a major move soon, whether it be with the Raptors, the San Antonio Spurs, or someone else.

The clock is ticking down, so Durant will be leaving soon.

Could he be heading north of the border?
