Jaka Bijol isn’t expected to be the only major arrival at Leeds United this summer.
Bijol has undergone his Leeds medical and is set to sign for the Whites permanently from Udinese.
The Slovenian international will join Ethan Ampadu, Pascal Struijk, and Joe Rodon in competing for a place in Daniel Farke’s team.
However, it looks as though this signing is only the start for Leeds.

Leeds to follow up Bijol signing with substantial transfers
The Whites have been linked with a wealth of Premier League players, with a raid on Newcastle United on the cards.

Callum Wilson, Sean Longstaff, and Matt Targett are all potential options, while the Whites are also pursuing players overseas.
And Football finance expert Dan Plumley – speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News – believes that the signing of Bijol signals more big-money moves at Elland Road.
“Yeah, we expected leads to spend,” Plumley said.
“We know their PSR limit, we know that’s going to be slightly different given the up and down between the Premier League and the Championship in recent years.
“However, they’ve still been pretty bullish about spending. Therefore, I would expect to see a couple more incomings as well for fairly sizable transfer fees at that level.
“It’s likely that they look to spend a lot of that money in the summer and really have a go at staying in the league.”

Farke has a decision to make on Bijol
Farke is not short of centre-backs ahead of the new Premier League season, with Rodon, Ampadu, and Struijk already in his ranks.
Of the three, Rodon made the most appearances last season. However, both Ampadu and Struijk still made at least 30 appearances each.
Ampadu did suffer a knee injury that kept him out for a substantial chunk of the season. However, he was a regular starter.
Therefore, with that in mind, it will be interesting to see who makes way for Bijol. The 26-year-old started 34 times in Serie A last season, keeping eight clean sheets and averaging 5.4 clearances per game [Sofascore]
Bijol will be eyeing a place in Farke’s starting 11, and given that Ampadu is captain, Rodon will likely drop out. Whatever happens, the singing of Bijol is just the start for Leeds as they look to make their mark on the Premier League.
