Jazz Reportedly Discussed A Trade For Sixers Star

What are the Utah Jazz doing?

After years of sticking with the roster they have, despite little success, the team is finally rumored to be making trades.

A new report from Andy Larsen, via Legion Hoops, makes it clear that the Jazz may have big plans for the summer.

Apparently, the Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers have discussed a trade that would send Paul George to Utah.

The specifics of this trade aren’t known, but it would easily be one of the biggest of the offseason.

George could send back quite a package to the 76ers.

Would Philadelphia be able to convince Utah to send them Lauri Markkanen or perhaps Walker Kessler?

Or maybe they have their sights set on John Collins.

George’s latest season was a troubled one, which may have harmed his trade value.

He could never get fully healthy and didn’t look like his regular self when he was on the court.

He ended 2024-25 with an average of 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists on 43.0 percent from the field.

The bigger story here is that the Jazz really are open to trades this year.

That is a difference from the last few years, and now fans are wondering just how drastic they will be.

Markkanen, Kessler, Jordan Clarkson, and more could be leaving Utah, and the team could be totally changed in a few months.

Even if this George deal doesn’t happen, the Jazz might be transforming.

As for the 76ers, is this a sign that they are done with George, despite other reports saying they want to rely on him for at least one more season?

There is now a lot of speculation around both teams.
