Florian Wirtz has now landed in Manchester and will soon be on his way to Liverpool for the first part of his medical with the club.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who provides video footage of Wirtz arriving in Manchester on his account on X.
Plettenberg had posted earlier today reporting that Wirtz had arrived at Cologne airport to catch a flight to the UK with his family. In that, he explained that Liverpool were hoping to get the first part of a medical for the Bayer Leverkusen star done today. The second part will then be done tomorrow.
He now provides an update, reporting that Wirtz landed in Manchester at around 16:42pm. He accompanies this with footage of the private flight carrying the Liverpool signing and his family.
He adds that the first part of Wirtz’s medical is booked in for later this evening as Liverpool looked to wrap up his €150m move from the German side.
That’s currently well on course and it appears we’re due plenty of updates tomorrow and over the weekend as Liverpool put the final touches on the mega deal.
