Liverpool are seriously considering allow Ibrahima Konate to leave this summer if he doesn't commit to a new contract, according to Fichajes.net.
The Reds entered the second half of the 2024/25 season with big question marks over the futures of Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold as they had all entered the latter stages of their contracts.
While Van Dijk and Salah both ended up renewing, Alexander-Arnold has now joined Real Madrid on a free transfer and Anfield chiefs are adamant they don't want to lose another star for nothing next summer.

That has led to serious conversations within the club that they could allow Konate to leave the club this summer should he fail to commit to a new contract with Liverpool.
Konate, who has been described as 'world-class', is currently out of contract in 2026 and has attracted serious interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid about a potential move, although the Reds aren't keen to lose him following his excellent performances as they lifted the Premier League title.
But Liverpool want to avoid being in the same situation with him that they were in with Alexander-Arnold, and he could be allowed to leave if he fails to agree a new contract before the transfer window closes.

It's unclear how much the club would demand in a transfer fee, but there is certainly interest. It's previously been reported that Konate wants to be one of the club's highest-earning players to renew his contract, which would put him in line alongside Van Dijk, Salah and new signing Florian Wirtz.
But the chances of that happening seem slim as FSG are known to have a strict wage structure in place at Anfield, which opens up the door for a potential major exit.
Arne Slot is expecting a busy summer window of exits anyway with Andy Robertson keen to move to Atletico Madrid, while Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are expected to leave. There is also said to be interest in Diogo Jota from Newcastle.
Liverpool had shown interest in a move for Dean Huijsen, but the Spaniard instead opted to join Real Madrid.
