Whether it be a professional analyst, a casual fan, or somewhere in between, everyone seems to have an opinion about the hardest-hitting topics in sports.
For some, arguments surrounding the greatest of all time (GOAT) in a particular sport tend to be the most boisterous, as everyone has their own opinion about who’s the best.
Basketball seems to have the biggest disagreement among fans, with the most common argument pitting Michael Jordan against LeBron James.
Jordan isn’t playing, so it’s easy to look at his complete body of work and compare it to what James has done to this point.
Not only is James still playing, so his entire story isn’t written, but he has often put himself in the middle of this conversation.
He was recently talking about some of the greatest players of all time, noting that some don’t have a championship ring and aren’t given the respect they deserve as a result.
Analyst Rob Parker recently called out James for that take.
“If LeBron had eight or 10 rings, you think he would be talking about people counting rings? Of course, he wouldn’t. He’s such a phony,” Parker said, via FOX Sports Radio.
"If Lebron had 8 or 10 rings, you think he would be talking about people counting rings?! Of course he wouldn't! He's such a PHONY!"

In Parker’s mind, James’ comments should fall on deaf ears, considering he’s won four rings in his career and is already one of the best players in history, but with two fewer titles than Jordan has.
It will be interesting to see how much additional fallout will come from this, and if James will end up taking back any of his comments, considering how they’ve been received to this point.
