Thomas Partey has reportedly made a final decision to leave Arsenal this summer, bringing an end to his five-year stint in North London as his contract enters its final stages.
The Ghanaian midfielder joined the Gunners from Atlético Madrid in 2020 in a £50 million move and has since been a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s evolving team. Despite persistent injury setbacks in previous seasons, Partey enjoyed one of his most consistent campaigns last term, remaining largely available and influential.
Arsenal had been hopeful of extending the 31-year-old’s stay at the Emirates, but according toGHANAsoccernet.com, contract renewal talks have broken down, and Partey has opted to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

“I think the first thing is where are you happy and where do you feel at home,” he said. “At the end of the day, you’ve been in football, in different teams. Then it’s about what your next objective is, what you want to achieve next. You still have to look at all this, and at the end of the day, we all have a family that needs money. We are not getting younger.”

He continued, “There are a lot of things to consider now with a family, where you want them to be happy, where nobody is going to destroy your family. These are things you have to look at. When you’re young, you just go anywhere.”
Despite being open to a move, Partey reaffirmed his love for the club: “I’m an Arsenal fan, I can’t decide anything. I just leave it to my agent and the club. Me, I just want to enjoy football.”
Reflecting on his form, Partey expressed pride in his performances during what could be his final season in red and white.
“I was available throughout the whole season, so of course people will say that was my best,” he noted. “Every game I go all out and try to give my best. Injury or no injury, I feel I’ve always given my best.”
