With the Pacers trailing the Thunder 3-2 in the series, Haliburton’s presence is crucial to force a decisive Game 7.
“From my understanding, he has every intention of playing tonight,” Charania said on The Pat McAfee Show. “Unless there’s some kind of setback or the medical team intervenes, he’s going to gut it out.”
Haliburton injured his calf early in Game 5 while attacking the rim against Thunder center Chet Holmgren. After a tough fall and a turnover, he reached for his calf and left the game briefly.
He later returned but struggled, finishing with just four points and no made field goals. Still, the 25-year-old has been the Pacers’ engine all playoffs, averaging 17.9 points and 9.1 assists, including the clutch jumper that gave Indiana the Game 1 win.
