Chris Jones Reveals His ‘Biggest Motivation’ Ahead Of 2025 Season

The Kansas City Chiefs were so close to ultimate glory last season.

They were one victory away from becoming the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.

Unfortunately, the Philadelphia Eagles weren’t going to be denied, and they got back at the Chiefs for a heartbreaking defeat from two years before.

Now, the Chiefs are no longer the team to beat.

According to star defensive tackle Chris Jones, that will be his fuel for the upcoming campaign.

> “I think you can use a lot of things as motivation, especially this past season,” Jones [said](https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/chris-jones-losing-the-super-bowl-the-way-we-did-provides-motivation-this-year). “The biggest motivation is making it to the big game and losing. Not only losing, but losing the way we did. A lot of people in the building think we could have done better. We think we’re better, and we’re focused on getting back to the mountaintop now.”

This isn’t the first time the Chiefs have been in this position.

The same thing happened when they lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV, and they eventually bounced back from that by winning two more titles.

The Chiefs should continue to have one of the best defenses in the league, not to mention arguably the best coordinator in Steve Spagnuolo.

Jones is one of the most physical forces in the game, and having him play with a chip on his shoulder should be a scary thought for opponents.

The Chiefs will try to get back to their former selves on offense, something they haven’t done since coordinator Eric Bieniemy left.

But as much as the Chiefs looked beatable last season, and as ugly as things got in the Super Bowl, fans should know better than to dismiss this team.
