Jack Grealish’s time at Manchester City is “over” as he looks set for a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The England international started in 16 of his 32 appearances in the latest campaign, where he registered three goals and five assists.

The 29-year-old played just one minute in the last six Premier League games of the season and has been left out of the squad for the Club World Cup.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 11 June Grealish would prefer to join Everton over Newcastle United if he were to stay in England.

However, former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Everton are unlikely to be able to afford the winger’s wages this summer.

Grealish is believed to be on between £300,000-350,000 a week at the Etihad, with his deal set to run until 2027.

Man City’s stance on Jack Grealish exit revealed

Borson insisted Grealish’s career at Man City is “over” after he was left out of the Club World Cup squad.

He told Football Insider: “City have told him that he’s not required moving forward.

“I think that’s pretty clear. I think it was clear anyway, but to not even be in the Club World Cup squad, it’s over.

“So, he will definitely move somewhere, and I think probably teams like Everton are saying if you get to 31 August and you still have not found a home and City are over a barrel in the way that say Manchester United were in respect of Sancho or Rashford, where the leverage in that negotiation changes and is much more on the buying side, then we’re very much interested.

“It might be a deal that works for Grealish. He wouldn’t have to move, City get him into a club where you’d hope he can have a good season, and therefore rebuild some kind of value for that final year of his contract.

“But aside from that, I just can’t see it. I would think there’s a pretty good chance that somebody will take Grealish well before the deadline and make him a relatively central part of their squad.

“He’s got great experience. He has a value. It’s just that I don’t think he has a value of a fee plus £350,000 a week. I think that’s unrealistic, but he definitely has a value.

“It may well be a value around half of that. That might be of interest to some teams, and I think that’ll probably be where it ends up before the start of the season.

“But that seems like it would exclude a team like Everton just because they don’t have the budget for that kind of experience and wage cost.”

Kyle Walker is ‘all but done’ as Man City decision made

Grealish is unlikely to be the only senior figure leaving the Etihad this summer as Pep Guardiola looks to revamp his squad.

Football Insider revealed on 15 June Kyle Walker has “no way back” at Man City, with his future now “all but done” after clashing with Guardiola.

AC Milan opted not to sign the right-back following his loan spell in Italy, but several Premier League and European clubs are monitoring his situation.
