**Since it was revealed that the PIF were looking into the feasibility of expanding St James' Park versus building an entirely new stadium, so much has happened at Newcastle United.**
We've had two sporting directors with a third currently being recruited, Newcastle have brought domestic silverware back to the North East, and we've qualified for the Champions League twice, not to mention they lit the touch paper regarding a new badge. And yet, we are still seemingly no further forward with the new stadium.
Things have been happening behind the scenes. We've heard rumours of a presentation that has outlined plans, and fans have been teased with an impending update on three separate occasions.
As we enter the back-end of June, we're still waiting for something official to come out, but with all that's going on at the club at the moment with staff changes and whatnot, we're not holding our breath.

Luke Edwards was feeling particularly cheeky on social media
------------------------------------------------------------
A recent article in iNews mentioned how there was no update on the horizon, with Luke Edwards picking up on it while suggesting there was talk of an update coming this month.
Then, just to add insult to injury, Edwards dropped another stadium nugget [when commenting on the news](https://x.com/LukeEdwardsTele/status/1935625272792944901) that St. James' STACK has had its licence extended to 2031.
> "Newcastle have extended Stack licence with council until 2031. Which, incidentally, is the proposed date for the completion of the new stadium… #nufc"
Should Newcastle move to a new stadium or stay at St James' Park?
* I don't care, I just wish the club would make their mind up

Can we have a little glimpse of something?
------------------------------------------
At this rate, we'll be lucky if a decision has been made by 2031, it feels like.
Obviously, we're being dramatic, but we were told to expect news at the back end of last year, that was then pushed to Q1 in 2025 which as again pushed to 'somewhere near the end of the season' and now we're hearing about a soft deadline in June that's looking likely to be missed.
Surely the club have a few crumbs they could toss our way to tide us over for now. Literally anything. A cheeky sketch or something that they've just accidentally leaked. Howay man!
