Premier League champions Liverpool will welcome Bournemouth to Anfield on the opening day of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
The Reds stormed to the top flight title last term in what was manager Arne Slot’s first season in charge.
Slot will hope to see his side mount a serious defence of their crown, however the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal will be desperate to prevent them from retaining the title.
In the meantime, it has emerged that one member of Slot’s squad has agreed personal terms with a European giant.
As per Fabrizio Romano, defender Jarell Quansah has verbally agreed a deal with German side Bayer Leverkusen.

The Italian journalist suggests that the 22-year-old has agreed to join the Bundesliga side, with the two clubs now working to reach an agreement.
It is claimed that a deal is close to being agreed and the fee will likely be £30 million plus potential add-ons.
Quansah is a product of Liverpool’s academy and has played more than 50 times for the Merseyside giants across all competitions at senior level.
The Englishman made 13 Premier League appearances last term as Slot’s side cruised to the top flight title.
He is contracted to the Reds until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, but Romano claims that the Englishman could depart Anfield this summer.
At present Quansah competes with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez for a starting spot in Slot’s side.
