Nottingham Forest pre-season fixture against Premier League club appears to have been leaked

It feels like the 2024/25 season has only just finished, but already, preparations are underway for the new campaign at Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest found out their Premier League fixtures on Wednesday, and they’ve been handed Brentford at the City Ground on the opening day.

Evangelos Marinakis has big plans for the new season, as he plans to invest heavily in the summer transfer window to ensure Nottingham Forest battle for Europe again.

Forest are looking at statement additions like Douglas Luiz and Yoane Wissa, so it shows the kind of direction they’re headed in.

As June enters its final 11 days, attention begins to turn towards pre-season, and it appears as though a leak has emerged regarding a fixture against a Premier League club next month.

No time has been mentioned, though.

Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha could feature

If indeed that leak is correct, it may be a chance for Forest fans to get a first glimpse of impending new signings Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha.

The Telegraph’s John Percy has confirmed that Forest are on the verge of signing the Botofogo duo, with medicals set to take place after the Club World Cup.

Percy also noted that Ola Aina and Neco Williams are close to extending their contracts, so there’s plenty of positivity around the East Midlanders at the moment.

A Morgan Gibbs-White renewal would certainly cap it off.
