Seven milestones that Man United players should hit in 2024/25 including Bruno Fernandes double

Several Manchester United players are on track to hit impressive records throughout the 2025/26 season.

With the underwhelming 2024/25 campaign now at the back of our minds, Manchester United fans can focus on the excitement of a new season.

United’s 2025 pre-season schedule is set to begin in July and United’s new home kit has already launched with club captain Bruno Fernandes hoping to “make history” in the new jersey.

After Fernandes decided to stay loyal to United and reject a move to Saudi Arabia, he is one of a handful of Red Devils stars who can chase down career milestones next season.

Man United players closing in on career milestones in 2025/26

Bruno Fernandes

Starting off with the captain, Fernandes was United’s Player of the Year last season and he will hope to become the first ever player to win it five times in their career next season.

In terms of personal records, Fernandes ended the season by making his 290th professional appearance for United. Given his incredible availability record, he should easily hit his 300th next season.

As for goals, Fernandes scored 19 goals in all competitions last season, taking his tally at United to 98 – the 100 mark is right around the corner.

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw’s horrible injury record has held him back at United, but he showed signs of promise towards the end of last season when played as a centre-back in Ruben Amorim’s system.

Provided the 29-year-old can stay fit next season, he will also hope to join Fernandes making his 300th appearance for the club. He is currently on 287.

Harry Maguire

Another player who ended the season well was Harry Maguire, and the former United captain is also chasing down an appearance record.

All Maguire needs to hit the 250 appearance mark for United next season is four more matches. He is currently on 246.

Casemiro

Casemiro is entering the final year of his United contract, and he will hope to end his time at Old Trafford on a high.

The Brazilian midfielder was a regular under Amorim last season after recovering from a poor start to the campaign. He will have plenty of competition for a midfield spot, but if Casemiro makes 25 appearances next season he will reach the 150-match milestone with United.

Lisandro Martinez

After suffering an ACL injury last season, Lisandro Martinez is expected to return in 2026 meaning his season will likely be cut in half.

However, when the World Cup-winning defender does make his return, he will immediately be targeting a starting spot in Amorim’s side. If he can make nine more appearances next season, he will reach his century as a United player.

Kobbie Mainoo

With reports that Kobbie Mainoo could leave United this summer, this entirely depends on the 20-year-old staying at Old Trafford and continuing his growth under Amorim.

There is plenty of competition for midfield spots with Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes and even Mason Mount in the running for a central midfield position.

But if Kobbie Mainoo can work his way up Amorim’s pecking order, he is only 21 appearances off 100.
