Everton and Tottenham have been attributed with an interest in Juventus winger Timothy Weah this summer.

The United States international is on the back of a decent season with the Serie A outfit, scoring six goals and providing five assists.

David Moyes wants Everton to sign new attackers and the 25-year-old has emerged as a potential option.

Weah could be ready for new challenge with transfer on the cards

According to Foot Mercato journalist Sebastien Denis (19 June), the Toffees and Spurs have already made enquiries into signing Weah.

Along with them, there are two other clubs also fancying the New York-born attacker.

The former PSG wide man could be set for new horizons in the summer as he appears to fancy a new challenge.

Club Appearances Goals Assists

LOSC Lille 107 8 8

Juventus 78 7 7

Celtic 17 4 1

He has already made 44 caps for the United States side but has not played Premier League football thus far.

Weah has been used as a rotational option and wants regular game time at his next club, should he move this summer.

Everton must keep their options open and not prioritise Weah at this stage

Weah, with 107 appearances, 8 goals, and 8 assists at LOSC Lille, 78 appearances, 7 goals and 7 assists at Juventus and 17 appearances, 4 goals, and 1 assist at Celtic, could be a decent addition to Everton.

His versatility, pace, and work rate as a winger suit the Toffees’ need for dynamic wide players, and his experience at top clubs indicates he can handle Premier League demands.

However, Everton should not prioritise him now due to his unimpressive goal-scoring record – only 19 goals across 202 appearances.

The club requires more prolific attackers to boost their survival chances in the competitive Premier League.

While Weah’s defensive contributions and playmaking are valuable, the Blues immediate focus should be on securing a proven goal-scorer to address their offensive shortcomings before considering supplementary signings like Weah.
