Marcus Rashford is on the verge of ending his two-decade career with Manchester United after falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim, wanting to take on a new challenge elsewhere.
The breakdown in the relationship between Amorim and Rashford has been well publicised after the Manchester United attacker was dropped from the side at the end of 2024.
In the winter transfer window, Rashford managed to secure a short-term loan to Aston Villa with the option to be bought for £40 million.
Unfortunately for Rashford, Villa’s lack of Champions League football next year meant a permanent move was financially unfeasible, sending the attacker back to Old Trafford.
However, it looks extremely unlikely that Rashford will be reintegrated back into the United squad, instead seeking a permanent move elsewhere.

Now, Jeremy Cross has reported that Rashford is trying to get out of Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The 27-year-old is reportedly desperate to avoid the trip to America next month, preferring instead to remain in the UK and secure a move from Old Trafford.
This request isn’t expected to cause an issue for Amorim who has no intention of using the United wantaway, especially with Matheus Cunha now in his squad.

Newcastle United have recently been linked with a move for Rashford, however his hefty wage of £325,000 per week have ruled the Magpies out of pursuing the United veteran.
However, his dream move of joining Barcelona is still on the cards after his agent was seen meeting with sporting director Deco over recent months.
Deco and Hansi Flick are reportedly big fans of Rashford, however nothing concrete has come to play as of yet.
As such, Rashford is still looking for his next club, something that United are equally as invested in sorting out to free up much needed wage capacity and transfer funds.
