Barcelona youngster Aleix Garrido is set to leave the club in the summer transfer window and sign for Eibar.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been at Barcelona for 13 years but has decided it’s time to try his luck elsewhere.
According to Marca, Garrido will sign a three-year deal with the club and an announcement is expected shortly.
The Catalan midfielder has come all the way through the ranks at La Masia but hasn’t been able break into the first team.
Garrido did make his first-team debut under Xavi in April 2023, and had been hoping to follow Gavi into the senior squad, but it simply hasn’t happened.
Injuries and the the sheer competition for places means he hasn’t been able to make the step up, and he’s now decided it’s time to move on and continue his career elsewhere.
