Florian Wirtz is due to join Liverpool today
Florian Wirtz is in Liverpool today. The player is in the UK for a medical, and, subject to that examination, the Reds could confirm his record-breaking arrival before the weekend begins.
Liverpool are also reportedly set to move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. Also from the Premier League, the Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is said to be a target still.
They also, likewise, continue to pursue Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. Liverpool have already agreed to the signings of Jeremie Frimpong and goalkeeper Armin Pecsi.
The summer transfer window has seen Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold leave for Brentford and Real Madrid, respectively, with Jarrell Quansah now seemingly the next to go by joining Bayer Leverkusen. Isaac Moran has also left the club after turning down the offer of a scholar's contract at the Academy.
Meanwhile, backup goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros has joined Ajax on loan, with fellow shot-stopper Harvey Davies close to agreeing to a season-long move to League Two team Crawley Town. Atletico Madrid are also keen on signing Andy Robertson, while Ibrahima Konate is said to be of interest to Real Madrid.
