Myles Lewis-Skelley is set to sign a new Arsenal contract that will make him one of the best player in the world.

The 18 year old burst into the first-team last season and, by the end of it, he was also a full England international under Thomas Tuchel. That was despite never having played left-back previousy in his career, having grown up as a midfielder by trade.

His performances attracted the attention of clubs outside the Emirates, and Real Madrid let their interest in signing him become widely known.

However, despite that he has chosen to remain in North London for now, knowing that opportunities to move elsewhere will be there later in his career.

It is a family affair when it comes to negotiations, as his mother Marica Lewis, who has guided him to this point, is also his agent and has been leading the talks with the club.

Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
