Bournemouth are set to accept an offer from Paris Saint-Germain for Ilya Zabarnyi after holding fresh talks over the transfer.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 22-year-old has his heart set on joining the European champions.
As a result, he has made it difficult for the Cherries to prevent his departure and a full agreement is expected to be reached in due course.
Football Insider revealed on 17 June that Bournemouth are braced to lose Zabarnyi in what will come as another huge blow to Andoni Iraola’s plans.
Having already lost Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, and with Milos Kerkez expected to join Liverpool, they now face a battle to keep hold of more key players.

PSG set to land Ilya Zabarnyi deal with Bournemouth
Brown first told Football Insider in December that Bournemouth will entertain “huge” offers for Zabarnyi as both PSG and Man City had been keeping tabs on his progress.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that the player has made it clear he wants to join PSG, and the deal will happen.
“It really is a shame for Bournemouth,” he told Football Insider.
“They’ve had a great season, and now all these clubs are coming along and hand-picking their best assets.
“It’s not a surprise, it happens all the time, but they’ve already lost Huijsen, it looks like they’re going to lose Kerkez, and now Zabarnyi will go too.
“He wants to make that move to PSG and he’s made that clear.
“That makes it very difficult for Bournemouth to keep turning down offers.
“They don’t want an unhappy player at the club because they’ve stopped him from leaving.
“PSG are still in talks over what the eventual price tag might be, but Bournemouth will accept an offer and I expect that move will go through.”

Tottenham learn Antoine Semenyo asking price
With speculation surrounding a number of Bournemouth players including Zabarnyi and Kerkez this summer, Antoine Semenyo is also attracting plenty of interest.
Football Insider revealed on 15 June that Bournemouth could accept £70million offers for Semenyo as Tottenham continue to keep tabs on his progress.
Interest from Thomas Frank’s side comes as “no surprise”, while other clubs are believed to be interested, but it will not be an easy deal to pull off.
This comes after Brown first told Football Insider in October that Bournemouth could price Tottenham out of signing Semenyo with a hefty asking price placed on his head.
