**West Ham still hold an interest this summer in Richard Kone it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**
As the club continue to work on overseeing an overhaul of the squad during this transfer window, one area of particular interest is the frontline, especially with the future of Michail Antonio now looking highly at certain.
The West Ham Premier League record goalscorer, who remarkably featured for Jamaica in the week, looks at this stage likely to depart the club this summer.
It’s evident that Graham Potter is eager to inject much needed youth and pace into his Hammers side, with Kone reported by our insider Ex to be a player of interest some weeks ago.
Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, Ex advised the club are still holding that interest in the player, however the current valuation by Wycombe is too high.
“We are still interested in Richard Kone of Wycombe,” stated Ex. “He’s a young striker with a lot of potential, however the £12m valuation is seen as too high at the moment.
“There will need to be some room for manoeuvre for West Ham to strike a deal to sign him, but of course we have our attentions elsewhere we are aim to sell players first in this window.”
Ex also reported that Manchester City midfielder James McAtee is still a target for the club also, with the club monitoring the situation.
He along with Kone are players we could well firm up our interest in the coming weeks.
