Exclusive: Arsenal now in contact to sign PSG star who Arsene Wenger has already called ‘unstoppable’

Arsenal are now amongst the clubs keeping close tabs on Warren Zaire-Emery’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain, TBR Football can exclusively reveal.

Although Arsenal are set to sign Martin Zubimendi this summer, the Gunners have lost Jorginho and Thomas Partey is likely to leave too.

Arsenal wanted to sign Sverre Nypan this summer, a young Norwegian star from Rosenborg, but Manchester City have since won the race for the 18-year-old.

As a result, a number of other options have been considered, including the likes of Pablo Barrios from Andrea Berta’s former club Atletico Madrid.

However, Barrios recently committed to a new long-term deal in Spain.

But Arsenal are now one of a number of clubs who have been alerted to Warren Zaire-Emery’s situation in France.

Arsenal have made an enquiry to sign PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery

Graeme Bailey, chief correspondent at TBR Football, understands that Arsenal have made an enquiry to PSG regarding Zaire-Emery’s availability this summer.

The 19-year-old’s game time has been limited in 2025 and from the turn of the year the youngster has started just half of PSG’s games.

Outstanding Portuguese pair Joao Neves and Vitinha are ahead of Zaire-Emery in manager Luis Enrique’s pecking order right now, and opportunities have been limited.

Zaire-Emery still has four years left on his current deal at PSG, but that hasn’t stopped enquiries from a number of Europe’s top clubs.

And Arsenal are one of those teams along with Chelsea and Liverpool, who all have historic interest in the brilliant youngster.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also made the same enquiries, but at this point it’s understood that PSG have no interest in allowing Zaire-Emery to leave.

Sources confirm that Zaire-Emery is ready to fight for his future at the Parc des Princes.

Arsene Wenger compared Warren Zaire-Emery to Kylian Mbappe

Speaking back in 2023 to Le Parisien, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger compared Zaire-Emery’s talent to that of Kylian Mbappe, a young talent he called ‘unstoppable’.

Wenger said: “We’re speaking of a boy gifted with super talent. He has blossomed exceptionally early. That’s why he’s been called up by Didier [Deschamps].

“When, at 17, your manager at club level chooses you as one of the first names on the team sheet, that implies that you exude something that is unstoppable.

“To some extent, he makes me think of Kylian Mbappé in the sense that people are already unanimous on him, at an age where, in general, everyone says: ‘he’s talented, yes, but let’s see’.”

In terms of other midfielders who Arsenal have considered a move for, TBR Football understands that Sevilla’s Lucien Agoume and Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi have also been looked at.
