Kilmarnock are advancing on a move to sign goalkeeper Eddie Beach as he heads out of Chelsea, sources have told Football Insider.
Beach, 21, is a free agent after leaving Stamford Bridge upon the expiration of his contract this month, and never made a first-team appearance for Chelsea after his arrival from Southampton in 2022.
Sources have told Football Insider that the Welsh Under-21 international has linked up with Kilmarnock for training, and is set to travel with the squad for their pre-season camp in the Netherlands next week.
Beach arrived at Cobham as an 18-year-old alongside fellow Southampton academy starlet Tyler Dibling, who quickly returned to St. Mary’s and has since become a transfer target for Tottenham and Man City.

Chelsea’s goalkeeper churn continues after Beach exit
Kilmarnock strengthened between the sticks last summer by signing Robbie McCrorie from Rangers, and Football Insider sources have said they’re set to add another highly-rated keeper in the form of Beach.
Beach only featured in a matchday squad for Chelsea during his first season there in 2022–23, and spent time on loan at Chelmsford City and Gateshead before another temporary switch to Crawley last term.

His one and only appearance for Crawley came in the EFL Cup back in August, and as Chelsea prepare to sell Djordje Petrovic this summer, Football Insider sources have said that Beach will be the first keeper to find a new club.

Football Insider Verdict
Although Beach was signed by Chelsea’s academy before their relentless spending under Todd Boehly really ramped up, any chances of a first-team breakthrough were quickly dashed in the following months.
Gabriel Slonina, Robert Sanchez, Petrovic, Filip Jorgensen and Mike Penders have all been signed since Beach’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, pushing him further and further down the pecking order as a result.
The fact that Dibling departed Chelsea after just a few months and is now valued as high as £100million by Southampton suggests that if the Blues focused on quality rather than quantity, they too could unearth some gems.
