Sunderland agree to pay new fee – Price raised by selling club

On May 22nd, journalist Mikhail Spivakovsky reported Sunderland are considering a move for Dynamo Kyiv’s Vladyslav Vanat this summer.

Dynamo Kyiv president Ihor Surkis has admitted offers will be considered for the striker, should they arrive.

Earlier this month, Champion stated Sunderland are the favourites to sign the 23-year-old, ahead of Leeds United, Everton and Fulham. They also reported his club are asking for at least €20m to sanction a move.

Ukraine’s Football24 point that out when relaying an update from journalist Igor Burbas.

According to Burbas, the Ukrainian club have raised Vanat’s price tag to €25m despite earlier requesting €20m. He further adds they won’t consider any offers below their new asking price.

The Black Cats have secured promotion to the Premier League and Régis Le Bris wants to seriously strengthen his squad.

Last month, we covered claims from Ukraine which stated Vanat is expected to move to the Premier League this summer. Sunderland could help him achieve it if a report from Sport.ua is to be believed.

They report Sunderland have agreed to pay the Ukraine international’s new price of €25m. This all feels a little too convenient for Dynamo, so it’s worth taking with a pinch of salt for now.
