Manchester United's summer overhaul is already in full swing with the signing of Matheus Cunha, and there's more to come.

The Brazilian ace is just the first in what many predict will be a flurry of new faces as Ruben Amorim aims to fine-tune his squad. If the manager of the cash-strapped Premier League giants wants to bolster his team without the financial boost from European football, he needs to green-light more sales.

Alejandro Garnacho could fetch a pretty penny, although talk about a Serie A move for Rasmus Hojlund has gone quiet recently. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are all likely to be deemed surplus to requirements after spending last season on loan. Real Betis are keen to keep Antony, but Chelsea's stance on Sancho is less enthusiastic.

We've got the latest on Rashford for you today, along with a few other titbits. Here's Daily Star Sports most recent round-up from Old Trafford.

Newcastle United could be poised to offer Marcus Rashford an escape route from Old Trafford. The Magpies might also give the England star a shot at Champions League football, though there's still work to be done, reports the Mirror.

As per The Sun, Newcastle are keen on a season-long loan deal for Rashford, while Manchester United are more inclined towards a permanent sale. Rashford's current contract extends till 2028, and he's among the top earners in the Premier League.

Rashford had a solid stint at Aston Villa last season, but their failure to secure a Champions League spot makes a comeback unlikely. Barcelona, despite previous interest, have started scouting elsewhere, with Nico Williams nearing a move as we speak.

There have been reports that Rashford isn't interested in a move to the Magpies, but the 27-year-old's options may be limited.

Ex-Everton ace Pat Nevin has urged his former club to swoop in for Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund.

Despite a lacklustre season in front of goal, Nevin reckons a switch to Merseyside could be just the ticket for the Danish striker.

"There are two or three players that they could think about bringing in from Manchester United but Rasmus Hojlund is the one that sticks out," Nevin shared with Spin Genie, encouraging Everton to explore the loan market.

"If you look at his style of play, it's a perfect match with how David Moyes likes to play.

"While his numbers haven't been great this season, Moyes loves hard workers and that's something you can never complain about in regards to Hojlund."

Chelsea have been warned off making a move for Alejandro Garnacho by their ex-midfielder Emmanuel Petit.

Speaking with talkSPORT Bet, Petit voiced concerns over the Argentine's recent displays of frustration.

"Chelsea should steer clear of Alejandro Garnacho, he might be a decent guy but I didn't like his behaviour on Manchester United's tour," Petit remarked.

"He is showing frustration but has had a lot of chances to show his potential on the pitch, but still we don't know what to expect from him.

"He gives 100% and shows great commitment, but we haven't seen him really improve as a player."
