AC Milan looking at Manchester United target

Manchester United’s transfer window has already started to take shape with the arrival of Matheus Cunha, a deal that was wrapped up early to inject some much-needed dynamism into the squad.

Work is ongoing to bring in Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, with a hefty offer already submitted, while efforts continue to strengthen other areas before pre-season kicks off under Ruben Amorim.

But while there’s no shortage of ambition, the reality of budget constraints is forcing INEOS to get creative — especially when it comes to solving the No.9 problem.

With Liam Delap snatched by Chelsea and big-money targets like Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike all potentially not possible, United are actively exploring more affordable alternatives.

That’s where Fiorentina striker Moise Kean comes into the picture.

According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester United could pivot towards the Italian international, who has a £44.5 million release clause in his current deal — significantly less than many of the club’s previous targets.

Moise Kean, now 25, is coming off a breakout season in Florence, scoring 24 goals and delivering four assists across all competitions.

The former Juventus, Everton and PSG forward has finally found consistency, combining raw physicality with much sharper finishing — attributes that could make him an ideal fit in Amorim’s pressing system.

United may need to act quickly if they are to secure his signing.

TuttoMercatoWeb also report that both AC Milan and Saudi club Al Qadsiah are circling, with the latter ready to offer Kean a staggering €15 million-per-year salary to lure him to the Middle East.

Despite the riches on offer, the striker may feel he has unfinished business in England following a frustrating spell with Everton during the 2019/20 season.

Having just entered his prime, Kean might see a move to Old Trafford as the perfect platform to reignite his Premier League career — and United, in need of firepower, could give him that shot.
