Eintracht Frankfurt youngster Nils Ramming is set to join Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, according to claims from Germany.
The 18-year-old has been in the German club’s academy since 2019 but hasn’t made his first team debut yet. He’s played for Eintracht Frankfurt’s reserve team in the Regionalliga Südwest, the fourth tier in Germany, keeping 11 clean sheets and conceding 36 goals from 30 games.
Absolut Fussball were the first to report about the Seagulls’ interest to sign the London-born youngster for €850,000. Bild back it up and provide their own updates.
They state the overall cost of the operation could rise to €2m including bonuses. Bild add Eintracht Frankfurt will also be entitled to receive 10% of a future sale.
Ramming’s contract lasts until 2026 and he’s aware that there are others ahead of him for the No.1 spot in the Bundesliga club’s first team.
The option left is to be play for their reserve team, which he doesn’t want to do any longer. Therefore, he’s desperate to leave them this summer and is set to join Brighton.
According to Bild, the Sweden U19 international’s move to Brighton is ‘as good as done’. Whether he’ll be part of Fabian Hürzeler’s squad or start with the Seagulls youth team needs to be seen.
