'Considered a done deal' - Sky Sports just said Liverpool star reaches 'full agreement' to join …

Liverpool have reached a full agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sell Jarell Quansah, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Reds have had a busy summer transfer window already with the arrival of Jeremie Frimpong and young goalkeeper Armin Pecsi, while a deal for Florian Wirtz is expected to be completed imminently too.

But the club are now clearly working on outgoings too for Arne Slot, and young defender Quansah is set to depart for the Bundesliga.

Quansah, who has been described as a 'monster', had also attracted interest from Newcastle United this summer as he was keen on playing more regular football, having found himself behind Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez in the pecking order.

Now Leverkusen have used their relationship with Liverpool this summer to get a deal over the line for the young England defender, with a full agreement reached worth around £35m including add-ons.

The 22-year-old will now sign a long-term contract until 2030 with the German side, who had targeted him as their top target to replace Jonathan Tah, who left the club on a free transfer this summer to join rivals Bayern Munich.
