Manchester United want straight €45m transfer right now – Red Devils don’t want to wait for sale

Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund has been linked with a move to Inter Milan repeatedly over the past few weeks.

The Nerazzurri have been keen on improving their frontline and there’s been claims about them making progress in a move for Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Friday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport covers how things stand in Inter’s chase for a striker.

The newspaper state Parma are standing firm in their insistence on keeping Bonny and even though the difference in valuation between the two clubs is low, the Nerazzurri would still want to sign another striker. That is why they won’t let go of Manchester United’s Højlund.

Corriere dello Sport explain Inter have already put forward an initial loan offer for the Denmark international, with an option to buy that can turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met.

Manchester United are not listening to that approach as it stands. They want a permanent sale for a fee of €45m, with the sale guaranteed this summer, and this is not something that Cristian Chivu’s side can afford right now.
