Mateo Joseph has been hotly tipped to depart Leeds United this summer ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The forward has struggled to add goals to his game since breaking into the first team in West Yorkshire, and after receiving limited opportunities to start games last season, his chances to play are expected to grow even slimmer as Leeds return to the top flight.
As a result, he seems destined to exit the club during this window, with Birmingham City the latest to be linked with a move for Joseph.
La Liga side Real Betis have also been chasing a move for the youngster, who is currently away with Spain at the U21 Euros.

Joseph makes ‘I want to play more’ admission
Daniel Farke’s side raced to the Championship title last season, but from Joseph’s point of view, it was a campaign that brought little progress in terms of his development.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
The 21-year-old started just 11 of the Whites’ 46 Championship games, as the impressive Joel Piroe retained his place leading the line for Leeds across the majority of the season.
Both Farke and the 49ers will know that heavy investment will be needed this summer if they are to turn this team into one that is capable of competing at the top table of English football, and that is seemingly set to force Joseph out of the door as a result.
With his Elland Road future up in the air at present, Joseph has admitted that he “just wants to play and continue growing” in an interview with Spanish outlet AS.
“We achieved our goal as a team, but I personally want to be more involved in the final stretch of the season. I think I need more participation to continue developing as a player,” Joseph said.
The attacker was then pressed as to whether that would mean a move away from Leeds for him this summer. Joseph replied: “The season has just ended, and we have to stop and evaluate. We’ve been promoted to the Premier League. We’ll see what the club says, but I want to play more to continue growing.”

Joseph should seek Betis move
Given Joseph’s latest comments, it seems highly unlikely that he will still be at Elland Road by the time next season gets underway.
There are concerns over the fact that Joel Piroe is unproven at Premier League level, so at least one new striker is expected to come in, which will only push Joseph further down the pecking order.

The latest links with Birmingham will undoubtedly be attractive to Joseph, as they are certainly on the up. However, a switch to Betis could provide more opportunities for the youngster.
Birmingham broke the League One transfer record to sign Jay Stansfield last summer, and the England youth international is being lined up to spearhead the Blues’ attack for several years. With that in mind, there seems little point in Joseph pursuing a move which would see him play second fiddle once again.
