Vlade Divac undergoes surgery after motorcycle crash

Legendary Serbian center Vlade Divac has reportedly suffered a hip fracture in a motorcycle accident in Montenegro and has undergone hip replacement surgery.

NBA legend and Hall of Famer Vlade Divac was involved in a serious motorcycle accident this week while in Montenegro.

According to Informer, Divac fell off a motorcycle near Lustica and was unable to stand due to the severity of his injuries. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a fractured hip.

He was immediately hospitalized and has already undergone emergency hip replacement surgery. Reports indicate that Divac is expected to make a full recovery and return to his regular activities soon.

Divac currently serves as the Vice President of Basketball and Franchise Operations for the Sacramento Kings.

During his illustrious 16-year NBA career, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, and Charlotte Hornets.

He is one of only seven players in NBA history to record at least 13,000 points, 9,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists, and 1,500 blocks—joining the elite company of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, and Pau Gasol.

Divac was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019.
