Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has moved to quash speculation linking Noni Madueke with a summer switch to Arsenal, insisting the winger remains in his plans.

Speaking after reports emerged that Arsenal are monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation at Stamford Bridge, Maresca said, “Noni is our player. In this moment, you can read much speculation about many players, but Noni is our player. We consider Noni our player for next season.”

Although Chelsea have not actively placed Madueke on the market or offered him to clubs, sources believe the England international could yet be on the move if a suitable bid arrives as Chelsea look to refresh their squad.

Arsenal, who are searching for additional depth on the flanks, are understood to be tracking the situation but have not made an approach.

Madueke, who is under contract until 2030 with an option to extend by a further year, is believed to earn around £50,000 per week, excluding performance bonuses. That figure mirrors what Arsenal were paying Neto during the Brazilian’s loan spell at the Emirates, so would be well within the club’s budget.
