If Everton fans were wondering what Orel Mangala is currently up to, we have the answer [thanks to BILD today.](https://www.bild.de/)
They report that the midfielder, who was spending the season on loan at Everton from Lyon, is currently in Germany recovering from his knee injury.
The newspaper reports that the Mangala is currently undergoing his rehabilitation alongside Stuttgart’s Sila. They’re both managed by the MSoccerManagement agency and have been completing their rehabs with them near Düsseldorf.
Mangala is working his way back from a cruciate ligament injury picked up at Everton in December. Silas injured his left ankle while on loan at Red Star Belgrade in April.
The pair are spending time on the treadmill and doing strength training with light weights, spending time together and joking around. They are close friends and so are helping each other through a tough injury period.
Silas is working hard to get back to fitness this summer so he can either prove himself at VfB Stuttgart or find a transfer elsewhere. What happens to Mangala, remains to be seen. He’s not due to return fully until December at the earliest.
A permanent move to Everton is certainly off the cards, with them turning their attention elsewhere after his injury, which he’s now recovering from in Germany alongside his old friend.
