Florian Wirtz has completed his Liverpool medical ahead of his move being made official today.

The German international travelled with his entourage to Merseyside on Thursday afternoon.

His parents and partner travelled with the 22-year-old with the group taking a private jet from Cologne Bonn Airport.

Liverpool is understood to have agreed a deal for an overall package worth £116.5 million – consisting of an initial £100 million fee, with an extra £16.5 million potentially payable in performance-related bonuses.

The highly rated attacker had to interrupt his holiday earlier this week in order to travel to Merseyside and complete the final stages of his transfer.

A five-year contract is expected to be penned that will keep him at Anfield until 2030.

There has been conflicting reports on how much the Hamburg-born attacker will earn at Liverpool.

Fabrizio Romano has previously reported that Wirtz will earn around £200,000 per week at Anfield – contrasting reports from Germany that he going to net a crazy £340,000–£355,000 per week.

Now the Italian transfer guru has revealed that Wirtz has successfully passed his medical, taking to X to report:

“Florian Wirtz has now successfully completed his medical at Liverpool!”

“Contract until June 2030 being signed right now with Wirtz set to be unveiled as new club record signing… …𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐨, confirmed”

The 22-year-old playmaker is set to join the Liverpool squad at the start of pre-season training, scheduled for 7 July.

Wirtz is also expected to make his first appearance in a Reds shirt during the upcoming friendly against Preston North End, set for 13 July.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are already offsetting the price tag with the sale of Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen.

The academy graduate is set to be sold for €30 million plus bonuses.

As we exclusively revealed, the club will look to accelerate a move a defender with Marc Guehi high up on the list of candidates.
