PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has broken his silence on his future with the Champions League holders amid ongoing transfer speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United. The Italian shot stopper is hopeful of signing a new deal with Les Parisiens with just 12 months left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes.
United have been linked with a move for the Italian international as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping department this summer.
Andre Onana has struggled with consistency since his arrival form Inter Milan with a number of high profile errors, while Altay Bayindir has also found life in the Premier league difficult.
Onana kept just nine clean sheets in the top flight, with Donnarumma reportedly emerging as a potential replacement earlier this summer.
However, that move now looks unlikely with the PSG shot stopper revealing that contract talks with the Ligue 1 club are ongoing and he has full faith his agent will be able to agree new terms while he focuses on the Club World Cup campaign.
"Yes, we are moving forward. My agent is talking to the club. I am focused on the match and the trophy, but we have no problems," he said ahead of PSG's clash with Botafogo.
"I always give 100 percent for this club and the supporters, it's a club that has given me everything, playing for PSG is incredible. The Club World Cup is a very important competition for us.
"We must continue to remain 100 per cent focused to reach the final and the trophy. Everyone is hungry for victories, to win titles; it’s important for now and for next year."
French media outlet L'Equipe, reported that the keeper has already had private talks with his international team-mates about a potential move to the English top flight. However, Donnarumma made it clear he wanted to remain in Paris.
"My priority is to stay at PSG, I don't think there will be any problems in the negotiations," he told Sky Sports Italia after Italy beat Moldova in a World Cup qualifier. "We're a great team."
