There have been no club-to-club contacts on the matter, even informally, and the Magpies would demand a fee starting at £150m to even open negotiations. They have even pointed towards the £200m fee Paris Saint-Germain paid to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017, which still stands as a world record.
A move likely would only be instigated if Liverpool bid a huge sum or Isak agitated for a change in scenery himself. However, he has not shown any desire to do so and is settled at St James’ Park.
