Everton’s summer window is set to be a seriously busy one with plenty of players departing who need to be replaced.
It will not just be a case of replacing players for David Moyes as the 62-year-old will also be keen to see improvements made on Merseyside.
No new faces have landed at Everton this summer outside of the permanent deal to keep Carlos Alcaraz around following his initial loan.
A new striker is the top priority for Everton as they need to add both quality and quantity to their current options.
It is expected that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will leave Everton now, with no agreement being made to extend his future at the club.
With goals needing to be added, the Friedkins may have just been handed a golden opportunity to land one of their targets after a fresh development.

Everton handed Nick Woltemade transfer boost
It is believed Everton hold an interest in VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade this summer, among other targets.
However, it had been suggested Woltemade would not be leaving Stuttgart despite the interest emerging from the Premier League.

According to journalist Julian Agardi, contract talks between the Bundesliga outfit and Woltemade have hit an impasse.
The offer presented to Woltemade has not been accepted and it is claimed an agreement is not in sight currently.
With the striker’s agent demanding a bigger yearly salary than the €2.5m (£2.1m) being offered, it is yet to be seen whether Stuttgart will return to the table.
Chelsea also hold interest in Woltemade this summer and could steal another Everton striker target after landing Liam Delap.
But Everton also have other options on their radar, but this does provide an interesting twist in Woltemade’s future.
Everton must decide between Thierno Barry and Nick Woltemade
With Everton’s options currently Beto and Youssef Chermiti heading into pre-season, a new addition is certainly needed.
Everton are keen to sign Thierno Barry, with contact being made over a potential deal with Villarreal for the 22-year-old.

However, Everton could now return to the table for Woltemade with his future now being thrown up in the air.
Ideally, Moyes would like to sign two new strikers, but he will also be looking to avoid any clashes between the players over a lack of game time.
