Leicester City man has definitive agreement to leave – Premier League side already have agreement with agent

Bilal El Khannouss is preparing to leave Leicester City this summer and has interest from Arsenal.

That’s [according to Africa Foot](https://africafoot.com/arsenal-proche-dun-accord-pour-bilal-el-khannouss/), who report that while El Khannouss was prepared to stick with Leicester this summer, he has now reached a definitive agreement to leave.

The belief is that he will be forced to leave Leicester to ensure his place in the Moroccan national team and maximise his chance of participating in the next Africa Cup of Nations.

Playing in the Championship with Leicester won’t be conducive to that and so a move away may now be on the cards.

The website that adds that, fortunately for the 21-year-old, he could be set to remain in the Premier League. That’s because Arsenal are showing an interest in the Leicester man.

_“Arsenal is currently the closest club to signing El Khannouss. Mikel Arteta firmly believes in his potential and believes he can become a key player in his midfield,”_ the source is quoted as saying.

_“An agreement has reportedly been reached between Arsenal and the player’s agent. The Gunners must now match Leicester City’s financial demands to finalise the transfer of the Moroccan international.”_

What Leicester’s financial demands for the midfielder are, isn’t mentioned. They would presumably like to recover the €22.5m they paid KRC Genk last summer.

In truth, we’d take any reports of Arsenal’s interest with a pinch of salt. It’s hard to see how they’d be so keen to sign El Khannouss this summer given he hardly set the world alight at Leicester last season.

The Gunners have other priorities, even if the midfielder does have an agreement to leave the Foxes.
