Inter Milan have been linked with a couple of Manchester United attackers set to leave Old Trafford this summer.

First of all the Serie A side enquired after Rasmus Hojlund, offering the struggling striker a lifeline by returning to Italy.

The Denmark international has failed to live up to his £72 million price tag that Erik ten Hag paid Atalanta for his services in 2023.

However, his stint with the Italian side has left him in high regard in Serie A, with Napoli also considering a move for the striker.

Whilst scoping out a move for Hojlund, discussing a loan deal with option to buy for £39 million at the end of the season, the Serie A side also made tentative enquiries for Marcus Rashford.

It’s understood that Inter are also only entertaining a loan move for Rashford, however, it’s the move for Hojlund which has received a response.

Corriere dello Sport has reported that United have been clear that they are not entertaining loan offers for Hojlund, wanting an immediate transfer this summer.

Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff have seemingly lost faith in Hojlund after his 21 game goal drought, with the Dane coming dead last in the stat of expected goals and assists for all Premier League strikers.

Whilst his replacement is yet to be found, with the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres have all been targeted to become Amorim’s first-choice striker.

This stance from United shows that after two years of struggling at Old Trafford, Hojlund’s place as the first-choice striker is now up for grabs.

As such, The Red Devils are looking to cash in on Hojlund, with his contract running through until 2028.

The report explains that Inter could well leave the race for Hojlund, with a straight transfer being out of their price range right now.
