France international and current Marseille midfielder Adrien Rabiot has successfully taken legal action against former club Paris Saint-Germain, winning €1.3m in compensation following the requalification of his past contracts with the capital side.

The Paris Court of Appeal ruled on Thursday that Rabiot’s series of fixed-term contracts at PSG must be considered as permanent (CDI), triggering financial compensation for unpaid wages, unused holidays and breach of contract terms.

_“It’s an important decision,”_ Rabiot’s lawyer Romuald Palao told **AFP.** _“It punishes the club for arbitrarily and unfairly excluding the player. Adrien was punished abusively at the time — that sanction should never have happened.”_The court recognised Rabiot’s right to compensation for what his legal team described as an unjust professional freeze, depriving him of the chance to play during the final six months of his PSG contract. The €1.3m settlement includes requalification indemnities, notice pay, and accrued holiday compensation.

Rabiot’s entourage insists the legal action was not about revenge but justice. “Adrien wouldn’t have made this claim if things had gone well at PSG. But for seven months, he was made to endure very unpleasant moments,” a source close to the player told **La Provence.**
